Attaining Dreams
Mmm..life is fun.. so here I am anxious again...but I am starting to see our real desires become reality. John loves to work on cars, thus his friend purchased coasters for us (as the groomsmen gift) which read: Clyne's Pit Stop! How perfect. So after it took me a year to talk John into going back to school for the job of his soul, we were having difficulty dreaming up the name for his "garage" when he has his own. I was surprised how long it took for us to think of it! Clyne's Pit Stop...how perfect for someone that wants to work on all kinds of cars! Along with this I just found a site for a writing contest (for me)...in the mean time...I have to get ready to go to work. And then come up with that short story:)

Easter
Easter at Grandma and Grandpa Dilley's was great fun again this year. Nearly everyone came out for this time with family (and some that are "friends"..). What a beautiful day it was to share with loved ones we rarely see. Since the weather was perfect -a breezy 70 degree day, Grandpa Dilley led the kite flying in the "backyard". I had not picked up on this becoming a tradition, but as we were packing to go, my husband was telling my son about flying kites at Grandpa's if the weather was good. Once we arrived , had our lunch and Easter egg hunt, many were ready to fly kites! Many seemed to have received that unwritten memo--"Bring your kites." It was exciting for me to hear my son say to me his first unprompted sentence that I could understand: " Kite Up Up Down Boom! "-with the biggest grin on his face. At our family Easter egg hunt, only those under the age of 13 can participate. This Easter egg hunt seems to take on the appearance of a treasure hunt. Sometimes there are clues inside to help find the next egg or gift. Fortunately, for the bigger kids and adults some clues involve getting a certain adult to help you look for the next egg. Of course, Grandma Dilley had to lay down the laws before we started. We sincerely thought we had found all the eggs and gifts before we left this year. The next day, Grandma Dilley calls to say--We missed one! A little stuffed animal we completely overlooked in the search. Enjoy these pictures and have a great week!

The Horse's Rules
Yes, horses rule! John and I both enjoy riding horses. Luke received a horse for a present this year. He loves riding on it, and can even mount it by himself now (with pillows to stand on). John called me at work one day -to tell me the new rules. Whenever Luke is riding on his horse, Daddy (or caretaker) has to be bouncing on the red exercise ball--directly in his line of vision. Another rule made by our son: If you pray the first time without everyone present holding hands at supper time, than you have to pray again when everyone is seated at the table. Ironically tonight, he wasn't holding hands because he didn't think it was time to eat. So I prayed, to try to get him to go to his seat and eat. Which worked, but then we had to pray again!! Hmmm....What apple and what tree?!?!?

The Newest Chef
Happy Spring to everyone! Happy Birthday to Uncle Allen, cousin Sarah, Uncle John Ellis, Kristi Deeds and Grandpa Dilley:) Luke has been busy learning (and loving!) washing the dishes, cooking, and cleaning. He loves washing the dishes so much that Grandma Dilley made him a great apron with Dinosaurs on it. After supper, he is ready to put his apron on and start washing. Recently we went with Grandpa and Grandma Clyne for his first visit to the Indianapolis Zoo. He loved petting the baby sharks! And he loves looking at pictures. ..we hope you will too! God Bless...

Start date
Well-here we are! Trying to catch up with technology! So many little fun things happen in our day, that it would be nice to be able to share a few with you. This evening as I was brushing Luke's teeth I was reminded of how I would have responded in his situation. He was furious and screaming his heart out that I was brushing his teeth. I would have responded -I need new parents! So I said, Luke-do you need a new mommy? After I finished, he went and pulled his suitcase out from under his toddler bed-but just couldn't get it open! Thank goodness, one of our neighbors and I know, the first place our sons want to go when they step out of the house is to the neighbors!
Hope you are all having a great Christmas and holiday season!
